Dan Kennedy wrote," for ordinary people, merely having enough to eat and escaping being eaten constitutes success." I think it's safe to assume that my readers are not ordinary people. They are extraordinary people who have taken the leap into controlling their destiny; people who have decided that their income and lifestyle will be decided by them and them alone. Last year is in your rearview mirror, but reminders of its results, whether good or bad, are visible in your bank account as well as in your lifestyle. But, this New Year brings yet another opportunity to realize a milestone, a goal, a dream.

I have a study list. A collection of reading materials that I use to inspire, to learn, and to grow my business. I have studied many business books over the years, but, if there's one thing I know, it is that no matter how many books you read, seminars you attend, or classes you take, if you do not take action on what you have learned, there will be no results. It has still taken me over 30 years to learn the seriousness of the statement.

Today I'm going to share with you just a few of the books on my current study list. These books have relevant content that I call “real meat.” They provide you with easy to follow steps along with clear explanations and excellent examples. Mr. Ostrofsky gives so much in information and resources that, by the time you finish reading, your head will want to explode! I thoroughly enjoyed every bit, and you better believe I have a list of ideas that I am implementing as I write. I checked out the first copy from the library and I couldn't put it down. I like to underline, highlight, and dog ear key information, so I had to go out and buy my own copy. If you are working an online business, or were thinking of taking your business in that direction, take it from me,you will Love this book!

The Six-Figure Second Income

by David Lindahl and Jonathon Rozek-Perhaps you are working your food-related business only part-time and the rest of your hours are spent at a regular job and perhaps tending to family issues. This book sheds some great insight and offers a few good ideas on how to work your business online. Even if you have no product, you can find some great ideas on how to go about getting one. I like the very clear, step-by-step instructions. Certainly a keeper in my Library of resources.

Outrageous Advertising

by Bill Glazer-If you are seeking a great book on marketing your business-this is the one. This book discusses Direct Response Marketing and is full of great examples, usable ideas, plus it's easy to read. Bill Glazer introduces a unique system of advertising and marketing a business that anyone can understand. I am also a fan of the Glazer-Kennedy way of marketing so I had to add this one to my already vast collection of materials by these marketing gurus. I am already working with some of the ideas in this book with great results so far.
