How to get Your Customers Testimonial |
|
|
|
|
-Sharing Before and After-This is similar to weight loss commercials-
"This is what I looked like before or these are the pants that I wore before I lost all of the weight using this product."
or "I was only able to sell $50 worth of my own product before I signed on with Happy Food Demo Services-Now my sales are well over $500!"
-Experience- I loved working with ABC Catering.., they made it easy and convenient for me to provide meals for our lunch meeting."
Start by making a list of your best clients-
-clients that you have a good relationship with(these customers probably visit daily or communicate often and you treat them more like they are family.)
-customers that you know have been positively affected by your service or by using your product.(They have a story to tell. Perhaps a "before/after" or a reason why they chose to do business with you.)
-customers who are well-known in the community or who are famous.People listen to and/or follow people who are important or influential.
What kind of testimonial do you want?
Formulate a few important questions to ask the customers on your list based based on the type of testimonial you want. (Results, Before/After, Experience.)
-Ask for their story. Let your customer tell why they chose to do business with you. How your product or service made the difference for them.
-Use different media. Record a testimonial from one client, use another client in a video, and use others for written testimonials. You can use these testimonials for your website, radio ads, and written material.
I often record interviews when I need to write articles. I always have content for my next story and I can write the interview or put the entire audio on my website.
It's good to get the customers final approval before posting or printing.
